HI there, I'M COUNTRY CARL welcome to my site. I'm now an
unsigned artist (formerly with Nickel Records). I just got back from Beau Robinson Music
where I layed down some tracks to a new song called Hobo Up and another called Bridge
to Tulsa. Things have really been hectic with all the fuss surrounding the 99ers New Depression
Blues Song/Video. If you haven?t seen it then tie on in to http://NewDepressionBlues.com and
see the CD cover. I maybe hitting the road again but I don?t want to get ahead of the promotion.
Last early summer I was in Nashville and stayed in Brentwood. I did some
song shopping then but no real luck panned out. Also I was in Tulsa a few months ago left
inspired and wrote this ballad called Bridge to Tulsa. But now the 99ers New Depression Blues has
garnered all this attention so I ?m digging in with both hands and feet to handle media and
folk feedback. Got to Go, God Bless you all! - Country Carl
PRESS RELEASE New York Times Feb 29, 2012 Schools Try to Match the Jobless With 3.4 Million Jobs
PRESS RELEASE Feb 23, 2012
Congress has passed legislation continuing federal extended unemployment benefits through 2012. President Obama has signed the legislation into law which means that state unemployment websites should have updated information.
Current unemployment benefits will remain in place until May. Then the number of weeks of extended unemployment benefits will gradually be reduced to 73 weeks in states with high unemployment and 63 weeks in the other states.
As the changes are implemented, weeks will be cut from some of the tiers and there are new requirements for tiers to be available based on state unemployment rates. However, unemployed workers collecting state benefits that will expire between now and the end of the year will be eligible for extended benefits. Unemployed workers collecting extended benefits will be able to move to the next tier based on the new guidelines. More Info @ Unemployment Extension 2012 By Alison Doyle

The Music Review.....NEW DEPRESSION BLUES.... Song/Video
If you heard John Rich's protest song "Shutting Detroit Down" get on board
the protest song/video NEW DEPRESSION BLUES by Country Carl. The song/video
has an authentic man on the street lyrical message that dates this time period so
profoundly. More important it keeps the focus where it should be, on the
survival of the newly minted unemployed and on our nations homeless in tent cities and on the streets. New

Here are the lyrics to NEW DEPRESSION BLUES:
My jeans are wearin thin
My pockets wearin through
I aint had a paycheck
Since they’ve closed the factory too
I got the new..I got the New Depression Blues
And things aint been this bad here since 1932
The unemployment office,
they pay my salary
but when my checks stopped coming
You know I just can’t live for free
I got the new..I got the New Depression Blues
and things aint been this bad here.since 1932
(Instr.)
Now they bailed out the big banks
And motor city too
They foreclosed on my house
and my trailer rent is overdue
I don’t know how they figure
That a man’s supposed to live
When they’ve taken just bout everything
He could ever give
I got the new.I got the new depression blues
and things aint been this bad heresince 1932
So lets ask President Obama
have some mercy on us too
get this country back in shape
we’ll vote you back in Oh One Two
I got the new..I got the new depression blues
And things aint been this bad here since 1932.
